I recently had 2 garage doors installed. Jake from Shipley Garage Doors who I believe is the son of the owner. Jake gave me the quote and did the work. I was traveling with my family on vacation when he called to let me know the Doors had come in, this was right before the snowstorm in December. He said he could get them installed while I was gone.
Once the job was completed he sent me a text letting me know he had finished installing both garage doors and 2 new garage door openers. He provided me with the door codes so I could open my garage doors when I returned.
When I arrived home several days later I was amazed at what a fantastic job he had done. Jake hauled away my old nasty wood doors and cleaned up like he was never there. He left an invoice and a note letting me know to call him when I get back he would come over and show me how to change the entry codes
Jake treated me like a VIP from the start to finish of this project. His price was better than 3 others that quoted the project.

Great communication from Russ when he would be there to repair my garage door. He took the time to evaluate the problem and gave me the best solutions. I had a cable pull off a pulley a week ago and Shipley was very responsive to come out and make sure he got us fixed promptly. Today I noticed the door had lifted on one side and was a bit uneven. Called up this morning Shipley and he was again very quick to respond and had us back up and running within minutes. Highly recommend checking them out for any new doors or service work. Shipley’s has done a great job twice for me. Once, replacing a broken spring, and they just installed a new opener for me. They were able to fit me into their schedule which meant a lot to me as I have weird working hours. Very fair prices and great employees!
My torsion spring broke on my garage door and within the hour a fella with the nicest beard I have ever seen pulled into my driveway with part in hand. Called Shipley garage doors on Sunday morning about 8:30am and Russ was at our house in about 2.5 hours to repair our door. We ended up having them install a brand new door a week later. They were prompt and very professional. I would highly recommend them.

I called because the night before my garage door somehow got ripped off the track, track was bent, rollers ripped off, etc. The gentleman who answered the phone was very friendly and gave me an estimated time for that day! They showed up between the estimated times, worked quickly, did not try to over sell me on anything, suggested future repairs based on the age of my garage door opener, cleaned up and were done much quicker than I expected. They did a very nice job, checked to make sure it would open/close, etc. I was beyond please with the service they provided and price. I will definitely call them again if I need any work done. Spring on garage broke last night, called first thing this morning and got back to me and we’re out in a couple of hours. Quick and efficient! Definitely would recommend.
Our garage door would close part way then stop. We found out Our cable kept popping off the drum, after trying to do adjustments it worked for a little while and popped back off. I texted them and they came out within 20 minutes and replaced the tension spring. They was fast, friendly and efficient. They deducted the service call from the original visit, which they didn’t have to do 😊 very well priced. I would highly recommend. So glad we can use our garage again.
Scheduled time for me the very next day. Serviceman that came out was friendly and knowledgeable, immediately diagnosing what turned out to be a simple fix.
Jake came out the same day to service a new door he installed for me a couple of months ago. He had the problem identified quickly (tension spring binding, maybe due to the cold) and fixed it without a charge. Just standing behind his original work!

Russ came out on Saturday afternoon and got the door working. Replaced broken cables and straightened the rails. Didn’t try to sell anything. Fast, courteous, nice and professional.
Wow not only does this guy install garage doors, he and his son are angels. I had a lot of repairs done on my house and needed a garage door also. Was feeling high anxiety the day they came from all the cost of home repairs and then this….I purchased a door someone had ordered and never picked up. With the savings Russ made on purchasing the door from the company since it was never picked up he had windows installed as part of the deal for no extra cost. That was so very nice as he knew I wanted windows but just could not afford them being on disabilty. Use this guy as he is good karma. He also was super fast with service and installation. Feeling so very blessed. Wish I could post a picture too but I do not have computer. It really completed the look of my house that had just been painted. The recessed panel doors are so much classier than the raised panels also and the windows really make the house look bigger. High quality insulated doors. Can’t recommend enough. His act of kindness really made my day!
Called on a Saturday morning and no more than two hours later they were packing up after finishing my job (broken spring)! And the price was way better than I was expecting. I was considering doing this job myself, but so glad I didn’t take the risk … I wouldn’t have saved much, if anything, by DIY’ing it. Be safe. Call Shipley.

Great people to work with. They came out and fixed a broken spring. They did an awesome job very responsive and reasonably priced. And as a bonus my squeaky garage door is now super quiet.
Thanks to all that left their review, because I read them. Couldn’t be more happier, during the night the overhead spring broke and I couldn’t lift the door. Made the call and within in an hour the repair guy was here, did a great job replacing both springs, check everything out and the door works perfect.

We moved into a new home last Sunday and someone had ran into the garage door a few days prior. I contacted Russ at Shipley and he came out the next day and did the measurements for a quote. He had our best interest in mind and was nothing short of timely and did great work on our new insulated garage door. Highly recommended!
